Originally from Massachusetts, Bess is currently based in Los Angeles. An interest in the way in which the body interacts with the world led to a BFA in Fashion Design and years working in the jewelry design industry. Having grown up by the beach much of her work stems from memories of and experiences within the coastal region of New England. She began to pursue an interest in plants through courses in horticulture and working as a plant buyer. Through this experience she found joy in engaging with people, and seeing the comfort and delight experienced when connecting with nature. Believing that green spaces are essential to humans mental and physical health, Bess began to pursue studies in landscape architecture, and completed her Masters Degree in 2023.

She seeks to understand how to best serve our world through thoughtful designs that promote human and ecosystem health, and work toward promoting the design of spaces that encourage social connectivity.
